Data
acquisition at OMB takes place in two stages. Click below for details
on each step.

The
second stage of our data acquisition is analog to digital conversion.
Data flows from our
signal conditioners to LabView data acquisition boards capable of acquiring
up to 192 single ended/96 differential channels of data with the capacity to
add another 64SE/32DI board. Our data acquisition has a resolution of 12
bits with a high-speed data logging at up to 1.25MS/s and the ability to
sample channels at different rates. Our DAQ system also has the capability
of running on a wireless Ethernet LAN to eliminate LAN repeaters and improve
data reliability. Controlling the data acquisition is the latest version of
LabView software running on an IBM computer which allows us to customize
data acquisition for each project.
Our data acquisition
features are:
-DMA input/output
-Software control of
acquisition board features
-On
screen monitoring of selected channels during testing
-File
I/O
-Wave
form generation
